Zelco Industries, Inc. is committed to protecting both the environment and health.

Based on this commitment, we have re-tooled our product development process by considering the entire lifecycle of a product from start to end. We strive to create and develop non-toxic products with no impact to the environment in the development and maintenance of all of our products as we believe this is a critical positive for many. We consider not just how to manufacture our products and how you will buy and use them, but also how you will dispose of them in a way that is not harmful to the environment.

In addition to our commitment to protect the external environment, we protect our internal environment by manufacturing products in a setting that causes no harm to human health during the manufacturing cycle.

We continuously improve package designs to enable recycling of waste to minimize the impact on the environment. All of our products marked with the crossed garbage symbol (WEEE:  Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and R (RoHS: Restriction of Hazardous Substances) cannot be disposed of with regular garbage. If you need help with how to properly recycle your electrical and electronic products, we suggest you contact your local authorities.

Thinking Beyond the Box

Packaging is not Zelco’s only environmental concern; we look for other ways to help. For example, our LED light products are energy efficient as LEDs give more light and last longer than incandescent bulbs and they are mercury-free. We help to conserve water with the Safety Fish #501X2 which warns if water level is high and try to lessen the amount of discarded plastic utensils by offering the re-usable Mangia! #1650X and BBQtensils #6010.
